Southwest Collection Platter

Part of the Southwest collection of coordinating pieces this stunning southwest style patterned glass has been cut into strips of equal width and  while maintaining the design flow are equally spaced over a complementary solid white base .  The symmetrical spacing between the rows provides  additional artistic interest with the visibility of the base color accentuating the design.  A layer of clear is placed on top which when brought to a full fuse temperature of 1450° in the kiln fills in the valleys creating a smooth and glossy surface.
Another trip to the kiln this time in a mold with ruffled edges and a 1” depth makes it perfect for serving foods including those with sauces or other liquids.
