Platter

This beautiful and interesting decorative patterned glass has been cut into narrow strips which while maintaining the design flow are equally spaced over a complementary solid white base.  The symmetrical spacing between the rows provides additional artistic interest with the visibility of the base color. A layer of clear is placed on top which when brought to a full fuse temperature of 1450° in the kiln fills in the valleys creating a smooth and glossy surface.
Another trip to the kiln this time in a mold  to form it into the final shape.
