Grey & White Swirl Pattern on Red Base

This beautiful and interesting decorative patterned glass has been cut into strips which while maintaining the design flow are equally spaced over a complementary solid red base .  The symmetrical spacing between the rows provides additional artistic interest with the visibility of the base color. A layer of clear is placed on top which when brought to a full fuse temperature of 1450° in the kiln fills in the valleys creating a smooth and glossy surface.
Slumped into a deep square bowl this is a wonderful size and shape for serving.
