Green Sparkle Tray

This tray was created with several hues of transparent and opaque green glass cut into small pieces and mixed with additional fragments of clear to provide more transparency.  
The pieces were placed inside a metal frame to restrict spreading of the melting glass as the kiln temperature reached 1450° and upon cooling schedule became a solid sheet which was placed on a mold and returned to the kiln for an additional firing  to slump into the form giving the desired shape.
