Chai with Dove of Peace Window/Wall Hanging

In Hebrew each letter has a numerical equivalent and the two represented here equate to 10+8 whose sum of 18 is connected to the word for “Life”
Flying underneath is the dove of peace carrying an olive branch.
The techniques used to create some of the shapes combined freehand cutting with the use of a ring saw, grinder, and bandsaw to smooth the edges.
The kiln program was designed to preserve the texture of the individual pieces.
Holes were drilled and a decorative wire inserted to hang this either in a window or on a wall.
If preferred, contact me and I would be pleased to make one for you without the holes to be able to place in a display stand or on a shelf or table or you could also have it framed.
It can be ordered without the holes but if holes are preferred they must be drilled prior to firing as the heat of the kiln nicely smooths the raw edge providing a more finished appearance.
