Brown & White Platter

A stunning patterned piece of glass which is no longer being produced is cut into irregular pieces which are symmetrically positioned on a coordinating base layer so that color from the base piece is visible and accentuates the shapes of these pieces.
The top layer consists of clear glass cut slightly smaller but designed to mimic the decorative pieces which when brought to a full fuse temperature of 1450° in the kiln the clear displaces the glass underneath and fills in the valleys creating a smooth surface and creates a slight shadow effect.
