Brown and White Swirl Pattern Bowl

A stunning patterned piece of glass which is no longer being produced is cut into irregular pieces which are symmetrically positioned on a coordinating base layer allowing the color from the base piece to be  visible and accentuate the shapes of the patterned  pieces.
The top layer consists of clear glass cut slightly smaller but shaped to mimic the decorative pieces which  when brought to a full fuse temperature of 1450° in the kiln the clear displaces the glass underneath and fills in the valleys creating a smooth surface and creates a slight shadow effect.
It is difficult to decide which is more stunning, the front or the back!
